About
International Conference on Cancer in Geographically Isolated Populations
ICCGIP brings together global experts to examine how geography, mobility, and systemic barriers shape cancer care in Small Island Developing States and other underserved regions. Through keynotes, research presentations, and cross‑sector dialogue, the conference spotlights the realities of patients who must travel—or cannot travel—for lifesaving oncology services. It’s a focused, action‑driven gathering committed to advancing fair, high‑quality cancer care for populations too often overlooked.

Message From The Conference Chair
Welcome to the Inaugural International Conference on Cancer in Geographically Isolated Populations (ICCGIP), the first global forum dedicated specifically to cancer care in settings where distance, limited resources, and medical travel profoundly shape outcomes. Across small islands, remote regions, and underserved territories, geography continues to determine who can access timely, quality cancer care. Yet the researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates working in across these contexts have too often labored in silos. This conference is a deliberate step toward changing that. We aim to federate a global community of practitioners and scholars committed to advancing rigorous research and generating actionable solutions. By connecting our expertise and experiences, we hope to create new opportunities to elevate this work and drive meaningful progress toward health equity.
